This tea is roasted (not steamed like other green teas) which gives it its rich brown colour and smokey flavour.
It is lower in caffeine than normal green tea and so it is perfect for enjoying in the afternoon or evening.

Premium Green Tea

Premium green tea from a single origin plantation named “nenokami”, this tea has incredible depth and rich flavour.
Due to its very high grade, a little more care needs to be taken in preparation, with the best flavours showing when using 50-60 degree water (but it is versatile enough to cope with slightly higher temperatures).

About Us
We source our green teas from a small family run producer called Yamanien (山二園) based in Numazu, Shizuoka, at the foothills of Mt. Fuji and only a couple of hours west of Tokyo. Yamanien is an awarded and highly regarded green tea producer.
We’ve selected a range of their delicious green teas to help you explore the world of Japanese green tea – from everyday teas to outstanding sencha for special occasions.
To ensure quality and freshness, we import green tea in small batches. This also means we can keep the green tea ‘in season’! Watch out for the ‘shincha’ (new season first harvest tea) coming in mid-late May each year.
